Verify Your Job Offer Before You Pay Anyone

A job offer for Europe or Dubai is real only if the employer confirms it. A PDF, a WhatsApp forward or a software scan cannot do that. Testiy's human expert confirms the case with the employer and sends you a certified report with a public verify link.

Who this is for

You are in India, often in Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu or a smaller town with a relative already abroad. An agent, a consultancy or a stranger on WhatsApp has sent a job offer for Poland, Germany, Romania, Croatia, Malta, the Gulf or another country. The next sentence is a payment. You want the offer verified before the money leaves the family account.

Most pages that rank for "verify job offer" talk about Indian IT companies and a software scan of a PDF. That is a different problem. An overseas offer fails in a different way: the company named on the letter has never heard of you, or the country does not issue the document the agent is selling. This page is for that overseas case.

What an offer is, and what it is not

An offer is a statement by an employer that a job exists, on stated pay and terms. It is not a visa, and it is not a work permit. In most of the countries families ask us about, the employer in that country has to start the permission, and you apply for the visa yourself. A letter that says the embassy has already approved you is usually ahead of the real process. Country-by-country rules are on the country guides.

The letter can be genuine as a piece of typing and still be false as a job. Someone with a logo can write your name on it. That is why "the PDF looks official" is not a test. We will not describe what a genuine offer looks like. People who forge letters read public pages. The test that matters is whether the employer confirms the job.

Questions to put to the employer, not the agent

Find the company yourself. Use the country's public company register, linked from the country guide, or the company's own website. Then ask, in a message you send to an address you found:

  • Did you offer this job to this person?
  • Is the pay the pay you actually pay for this work?
  • Are you applying for the permission, or is a third party claiming they will?
  • Will you speak to a family member or to an independent reviewer?

If the only contact is the agent's number, you do not yet have an employer. You have a chat. If the company replies that there is no offer, stop. Do not pay for a "correction".

Red flags families already know

  • Money is demanded before any employer will confirm the offer.
  • The offer exists only as a WhatsApp image or a forward.
  • The sender is a Gmail address claiming to be a European company or an embassy.
  • There was no interview, or the interview was a voice note.
  • The salary for unskilled work is far above what that country advertises for the role.
  • The plan is a visit visa now and a permit later. Read why that is a trap.
  • Someone promises a guaranteed offer, or one offer that covers several countries.
  • You must pay today or the seat goes.
  • The Indian agent will not show a registration you can check on eMigrate where the Emigration Act applies. See how to look at the agent.
  • The agent sends their own website and calls it verification.
  • You are told not to email the employer because "it will delay the visa".

Why a software scan is not enough

A program can read words and even notice that a logo was pasted. It cannot call a warehouse in Łódź or a hospital in Dublin and learn that no offer was made. Pages that sell an AI check of Indian offer letters are built for a different fraud. Overseas, the employer is the fact. Testiy does not publish the steps of that confirmation. The outcome is a human decision.

What Testiy does

You send the offer and the other papers the agent gave you. A human expert confirms the case with the employer. You receive a certified report and a public verify link your family or a bank can open. Testiy does not find you a job, does not file a visa and does not represent you at an embassy. Prices start at ₹1,600 including GST for the Individual pack. Turnaround is on pricing. The expert desk is open 10:00–22:00 IST.

The report is described on the sample report page. It is Testiy's deliverable, not a gallery of other people's letters.

A pattern, not a testimonial

In March 2026 Business Standard reported that dozens of Indians were shown fake visas on WhatsApp for work in Poland and Finland, with about ₹3.5 lakh asked. They learned the truth from the embassies, not from the PDF (Business Standard). The same shape appears with hotel brands in Germany and with Malta jobs that were not there on arrival. The offer was the bait. The payment was the point.

If you are checking the company, not the letter

"Is the company real?" is a fair question and a smaller one. A company can be on a register and still not have hired you. Looking up a registration number is a start the country guides point to. It is not the whole answer. The expert's job is the employer confirmation, not a tutorial on how to search a registry. We do not publish registry walkthroughs here.

If the letter is a joining letter

Some agents send a joining letter or a "letter of introduction" instead of an offer, and tell you the offer will follow after you pay. Treat that as the same decision. A joining date without an employer who will confirm the job is a calendar entry, not employment. The check is the same conversation with the employer.

If you already paid

Keep the chats, the receipts and the file. Report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930. Tell the Protector of Emigrants if a recruiting agent took the money, and file a police complaint. Testiy cannot recover the transfer. A written report can still stop the next one.

FAQ

How do I verify a job offer from another country?

Ask the employer, using a contact you found yourself, whether the offer is theirs. If you want that confirmation done for you, send the file to a Testiy expert. You get a certified report and a public verify link.

Can I check an offer letter online?

You can read the country guide and the company's public registration. There is no honest website that types a passport number and returns "real". Sites that promise that are part of the pitch. See check your offer letter.

The company is on a register. Is the offer real?

A registration means a company exists or existed. It does not mean they offered you a job. The employer still has to confirm it.

My agent says the embassy verified the offer. Is that enough?

Embassies decide visas. Several of them have published that they do not verify work papers for agents. Open the country guide for the country named in the offer.

Is it normal to pay before the offer is confirmed?

No. Where a registered Indian recruiting agent may charge a service fee, the MEA states a ceiling of 45 days' wages and a maximum of ₹20,000 on mea.gov.in/ras. Confirm the current figure there. A demand of several lakh, before the employer has confirmed anything, is a reason to stop. Read agent asking for money.

How long does a Testiy verification take?

The pricing page has the published turnaround. While the desk is open, 10:00–22:00 IST, many cases are decided the same day.

What do I get from Testiy?

A certified report and a public verify link. Not a score from a scanner.

Can I speak with Testiy in Malayalam or Hindi?

Yes. Our experts can speak with you in Malayalam, Hindi and English.

What if the offer turns out to be fake?

Do not pay anything further. Report it on 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in and keep every screenshot.
