Who this is for
You have a PDF or a photo called an offer letter, a joining letter or an appointment letter for a job outside India. You want it checked before you pay an agent or resign from the job you have. Pages that rank for this search are mostly software tools aimed at Indian IT fresher letters. Your letter names a warehouse in Poland, a hotel in Dubai or a clinic in Ireland. The tool and the letter are aimed at different frauds.
What the letter can and cannot prove
The letter is the employer's claim that a job exists. If the employer did not write it, the claim is false even when the layout is tidy. We will not describe a genuine layout. Forgers use those descriptions. The check is a confirmation with the employer, using a contact you did not take from the letter itself.
Find the company on the register the country guide points to, or on the company's own site. Write to an address you found there. Ask whether they issued the letter to you, on the pay it states. If they say no, the letter is not an offer. It is a prop.
A joining letter that arrives before any offer, with a date and a demand for money, is the same problem under another name. A date on a page is not a job. The employer still has to confirm it. People searching for joining-letter checks are in the same queue as offer-letter checks. One stronger confirmation beats two thin tools.
Why a PDF scan cannot finish the job
Software can tell you a file was edited, or that a logo does not match some other logo. It cannot tell you the employer exists and wants you. Overseas fraud often uses a real company's name on a letter the company never sent. The file can be "clean" and the job can be imaginary. That is the gap a human confirmation fills. Testiy does not publish the method. The outcome is the report.
If the letter is for Dubai, read the UAE page as well. A letter that pairs the job with a visit visa is a trap even before anyone discusses fonts. If the letter is for Europe, open the country. Germany, for example, usually does not issue a separate English work permit, so a letter that pretends the permit is already a plastic card is ahead of the law.
Red flags in the offer itself, without playing detective on design
- You are asked to pay before the company will confirm the letter.
- The file arrived only on WhatsApp.
- The email is a Gmail address for a company that has its own domain.
- There was no interview.
- The pay is far above the work, or it is far below the legal minimum the country guide cites, such as Ireland's published floors.
- The letter says the visa or permit is guaranteed.
- The letter covers several countries at once.
- You must accept today.
- The agent forbids you from contacting the company.
- A joining date is close, and the permit the country requires does not exist yet.
- The agent hosts a site that "verifies" the PDF.
- Your passport is requested with the letter.
Country by country, the letter means a different thing
A letter headed "offer" is not the same object in every capital. In Poland the thing that matters next is the employer's permit application, not a second copy of the letter. In Germany the right to work is written into the visa and residence title, so a letter that claims you already hold a separate work permit is ahead of the law. In Ireland the salary on the letter has to meet a published floor before an employment permit can exist, and the visa is another step. In the UAE the letter is not a reason to fly on a visit visa. In Italy the letter can sit beside a nulla osta and the job can still be false, which is why the employer, not the stationery, is the witness.
Bring the country into the check. A letter for a cook in Malta is not checked the same way as a letter for a nurse in Ireland, because the permission that follows the letter is different. The employer is the common step. Open the guide, then send the letter. A single generic "offer letter verifier" that treats a Dubai hotel and a Polish warehouse as the same PDF is how thin tools waste a family's week. Testiy's expert confirms the employer named for that country. The report says what was confirmed. It does not award the visa.
What Testiy does
You send the letter. A human expert confirms the case with the employer. You receive a certified report and a public verify link. We do not issue offers and we do not negotiate your salary. Packs start at ₹1,600 including GST. See pricing. The desk is open 10:00–22:00 IST. The sample report is the deliverable, not a stack of other people's letters.
The wider page on the same decision is verify a job offer. Use this page if what you hold is specifically the letter.
If you already paid
Keep the letter and the payment proof. Report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930. If an Indian recruiting agent took a fee, the MEA complaints route is on mea.gov.in. Tell the police.
FAQ
How do I check if an offer letter is real or fake?
Ask the employer, on a contact you found yourself. If you want that done independently, a Testiy expert confirms the case and writes a report.
Is an online PDF checker enough?
No. It reads the file. It does not prove an employer. Overseas letters fail because the company never sent them.
What about a joining letter?
Treat it the same way. A joining date without an employer who confirms the job is not employment.
The letter has the company's real address. Does that mean it is real?
It means someone knows the address. Confirmation still has to come from the company.
My agent says not to contact the company. Why?
Because contact is how the story collapses. That instruction is a reason to stop paying, not a reason to obey.
How long does a Testiy check take?
See pricing. Many cases are decided the same day while the desk is open, 10:00–22:00 IST.
What do I get?

Can I speak with Testiy in Malayalam or Hindi?
